Fellowship
The Fellowship Committee enjoys planning activities and events to help members and friends of the congregation become better acquainted in an atmosphere of Christian fellowship. Typically each year there will be offered theater events, boat trips, bus excursions to museums and other venues, a mystery or Christmas lights train ride, plus an Independence Day barbecue. Discovery Groups
Discovery Groups are small groups formed around a common interest. While participants share in the hosting, one member acts as a facilitator. Examples include A Joyful Noise, Armchair Traveling, Beginning Computers, Discovery Dining, Monday Night Bridge, Line Dancing and Exploring Local Nature. Registration is held in January. All meetings include a devotional and components of fellowship, prayer and caring/sharing.
Carpenter Groups
Carpenter groups are formed with six to eight participants (couples and singles) for purely social activities. Each group determines its own interests and how often to meet. There are usually two registrations per year, and groups change with each new season.
Single Adults
“Single Direction” is a ministry for single adults in the Bonita Springs area (primarily those 50+, whether never married, divorced or widowed), with the goal of providing opportunities for Christ-centered friendships to develop and be nurtured.
A large-group event is generally held on the fourth Thursday of the month, at First Presbyterian Church. A catered dinner or dessert is served, with speakers and a program. In addition, Single Direction sponsors Sunday brunches, social gatherings and outings to local theaters and other cultural events, and small-group Bible studies for spiritual enrichment.
