International Mission Partners

Christian Leaders for Africa, Nairobi, Kenya

This organization promotes theological education through a partnership with the Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology (NEGST). The African church is now larger than the church in North America, but has a tremendous need for godly, educated men and women to serve as leaders and teachers. FPC provides scholarship funds to help support a student at NEGST.

Compassion International

Every three seconds a child under the age of 5 dies from poverty-related causes. Compassion International works through local churches in more than 20 countries to provide child development programs to deliver children from economic, physical, social and spiritual poverty, enabling them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults. FPC members and friends are invited to “sponsor” a Compassion child by providing monthly support and encouragement.

CrossWorld, Northwest Haiti

Bruce and Deb Robinson, missionaries with CrossWorld, have lived and worked on the Northwest Peninsula of Haiti since 1983. They partner with the Presbyterian churches of their region building churches and schools, drilling wells, installing irrigation and other water projects in the semi-arid climate, and help with agriculture and reforestation.

Dan Moser Clinic, Dambai, Ghana

Named in memory of the son of Dr. and Mrs. Ned Moser, FPC members and former missionaries to Ghana, this clinic is located in a remote area of North Ghana which had no prior access to medical care. It is primarily a child and maternity welfare clinic that offers immunizations and deals with minor emergencies on an outpatient basis.

ECHO (Educational Concerns for Hunger Org.), Ft. Myers, FL

This Ft. Myers organization’s mission is to network with community leaders in developing countries to seek hunger solutions for families growing food under difficult conditions. ECHO’s Global Farm in Ft. Myers is the only place of its kind in the United States where overseas agricultural missionaries and development workers can gain hands-on education and training.

El Buen Pastor Presbyterian Church, Amatitlan, Guatemala

FPC has a sister-church relationship with El Buen Pastor Presbyterian Church. Our partnership has helped this growing 250 member congregation to purchase land and build classrooms for Sunday school and a preschool for 40 children. Our relationship includes periodic visits to Guatemala by members of FPC, and FPC has hosted a visit to our church by the pastor and elders of El Buen Pastor.

Go Ye Fellowship, Hyderabad, India

These Presbyterian missionaries are involved with Indian believers in the contextualization of the Gospel among Hindus. The traditional church of India worships similar to any other Western church, which alienates new believers from their families and culture. Kristapuja is a culturally sensitive and biblical worship which allows Indian Christians to worship Jesus without leaving their culture and family. FPC helps with the missionaries' personal support.

Michele Michalko, Frontiers (GAP Teams)

Missionary Michele Michalko helps to administrate GAP Teams of the Frontiers mission organization located in Mesa, AZ. Frontiers is dedicated to equipping missionaries to share the message of God’s love in Jesus Christ and start churches among the unreached peoples of the Muslim world. GAP Teams consist of men and women who make an initial commitment to work seven to thirteen months in a Muslim community. GAP teams are the vanguard to long-term teams; in fact, about half of the GAP Team participants stay longer, forming the nucleus of a long-term church. FPC helps with Michele’s personal support.

Project Mercy, Yetebon, Ethiopia

Project Mercy is a holistic Christian ministry focused on the spiritual, educational, health, and economic needs of the people of Yetebon, Ethiopia, a rural farming community of approximately 70,000. The ministry’s campus includes a church, school (K-5 through 10th grade) for 950 students, hospital staffed by a team of six physicians, and an economic development program which includes a community garden and dairy cattle breeding program. FPC helps with the general support of this excellent ministry.

Julius Pulei, Daystar University, Nairobi, Kenya

Julius is a student at Daystar University, studying to become a pastor. While finishing his studies, he is communicating the Gospel among his own people, the Maasai. His vision is “to train as many Maasai people as possible to be more effective in communicating the Good News to other people, thus fulfilling the great commission given to us by our Lord.” Julius is married to Christine, and they have two children. FPC is helping Julius with his university costs.

Sertão Project, Northeast Brazil

Pastor Paul and Linda Fahnestock served as missionaries from 1998-2004 working in partnership with the Independent Presbyterian Church of Brazil. They worked with a team of 18 Brazilian pastors and missionaries in Northeast Brazil, founding six new churches in that rural semi-arid region. FPC continues to support the ongoing construction of these churches as well as the indigenous church leadership program which is key to developing elders, deacons and pastors.

Third Millennium Ministries

This cutting-edge ministry is producing a complete seminary curriculum to be distributed in DVD and video format in the languages of Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, English and Braille. The curriculum is sent to seminaries, churches and individuals. Far East Broadcasting is broadcasting the material in Mandarin with a Chinese audience of more than ten million listeners. The Arabic curriculum is training Christian pastors in the Middle East and Northern Africa, where persecution of Christians makes such training difficult to obtain. FPC is sponsoring the continued production of this seminary curriculum.

Witnessing Ministries of Christ, India

Twenty years ago the Rev. Philip Prasad founded WMC and the Rural Presbyterian Church-India (RPC) to bring the Good News of Christ to India’s 150 million Dalit (Untouchable) people. The RPC consists of 23 presbyteries and nearly 700,000 communicant members, with trained pastor-couples serving multiple villages. FPC contributes to the projects, including schools, nutrition and clothing for school children, training for pastors, healthcare, sanitation and techniques for sustainable agriculture.

Bill Young, Presbyterian Frontier Fellowship (PFF)

One of the most important places we can invest our missions support for frontier mission is in mobilization of the church in the United States. Bill Young is the Executive Director of Presbyterian Frontier Fellowship. The vision of PFF is to challenge, mobilize and empower Presbyterian congregations into global partnerships that establish indigenous churches among unreached people groups. FPC helps with Bill’s personal support.
