Many of our members and friends like to plan ahead, especially if they know they’ll have guests visiting. To see what’s on tap at First Church in the months ahead, you have the option to view a calendar listing or search by event type (e.g., Concert Series, Bonita Christian Forum, etc.).

Bonita Christian Forum

This speaker series, begun in 2005 and sponsored by First Presbyterian Church, presents “high visibility” followers of Jesus Christ from all walks of life sharing their stories of faith. For maximum outreach, programs are scheduled during the winter season months, from November through the following April. Programs are free and open to the public. An offering is taken to defray expenses. Speakers scheduled for this coming season are:

Book Club (“First Read”)

The following books have been selected for reading and discussion in the coming year. Titles will be available for purchase on Sunday mornings in McClure Hall, beginning approximately one month prior to the scheduled book review date.

Concert Series

The schedule for the 2008-2009 Concert Series will be listed here as soon as it is confirmed. If you are not a member of First Presbyterian or have not previously been a Concert Series sponsor, please contact (239-992-3233 X232) in the Concert office to be added to our mailing list.

Fine Arts Series

In addition to our regular concert series we also host a Fine Arts Series that features the very best talent from Southwest Florida. Tickets for these performances are usually available by contacting the individual organizations. The schedule for 2008-2009 has not yet been announced.

Movie Nights (“First Flix”)

Join other members of the First Church family to watch some great movies on the big screens in the sanctuary, with fellowship time following in McClure Hall. There is no charge. Films are generally scheduled on Friday evenings; call the church office to get specific info on the featured flick. [Schedule to be announced; normally 4-5 films are selected to be shown between October and April.]
