In 2008, award-winning fashion photographer Michael Belk traded his glamorous globe-trotting lifestyle of success for a “mission of significance.” He sensed God’s prompting to embark on a new journey to explore the modern-day relevance of the messages of Jesus and bring Jesus Christ to life through the lens of his camera. Michael’s vision was to show 1st-century Jesus interacting with 21st-century people from all walks of life, sharing the lessons and life instructions He came to give us. The result is the compelling collection of fine art photography known as Journeys with the Messiah.

To further communicate the message behind each powerful image, Michael returned to the site of the original photoshoot and recorded compelling video devotionals. This resulted in a film series to accompany the Journeys photographs. In his D.I.G. classes, Michael will present specific videos and lead discussions on them.
