Thessalonians
The message of Christ often takes root in the most hostile settings. When Paul, Timothy, and Silas visited the bustling seaport of Thessalonica, they were met with fierce opposition. Still, their preaching was not without affect. After fleeing the city, word that the recent converts were standing strong against persecution was reported to Paul. He replied with letters to encourage the budding community to abound more in love, holiness, and hard work and draw hope from their ultimate prize — a heavenly reward. How can Christians persevere and thrive in hostile settings? Join us for D.I.G. beginning in June as we study Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians.
