Since 2007, First Church has been dedicated to annually hosting our largest multi-generational event of the year, Trunk-or-Treat. As with any outreach, the success of this event hinges on the generosity of willing volunteers. Our goal to partner with parents, reach out into the community, and engage with the lives of children and families, requires many hands and feet for maximum impact.

When First Church began offering Trunk-or-Treat as a safe family alternative that included fellowship, service and family fun, it was an event that we knew we could support. Since then, our family has made Trunk-or-Treat an integral part of our annual traditions, and as our children grew, they have gone from candy-hunters to candy-givers. Even during the years we lived in Puerto Rico, we always made it back to Bonita Springs for Trunk-or-Treat.

Over the years, First Church has welcomed hundreds of children and families. In most cases, this event is an initial introduction to our church for the children and parents in our surrounding community. Because it is multi-generational, it allows us—as a church—to engage and connect with those right outside our doors, from babies and toddlers to parents and grandparents.

Our collective success depends upon the generosity of our volunteers in sharing their time, talent and donations. Trunk-or-Treat serves our community as a safe place for families on Halloween and is an opportunity to share the light and love of Jesus through generosity with these families—our local mission field.

We look forward to having you partner with us to make a difference in the lives of these kids!
