Each and every day, the First Church Prayer Ministry lifts up the hurt, the sick, the lost, and the weary. We reconnect them with the Holy Spirit by the power of Jesus working through us. We trust that lives are changed, healing happens, and miracles abound. We believe that, somewhere in that process, fear is replaced with the peace of God’s presence in all trials.

Prayer is one of the most important aspects of our deepening relationship with God. It is also the first line of defense against the hurts of humanity. Jesus has given to us—in His Name—the power and authority to pray for healing. (See Luke 9:1-6, Luke 10:8-9, Luke 10:19-20, John 14:12-13.)

Behind the scenes, our Prayer Ministry is vibrant and impactful. Many members of our church have either utilized it for someone they care about, or someone who cares about them has used it on their behalf. That is its purpose: to share burdens and concerns with others and to lift them up to God in prayer so they are able to discern God’s will for their lives.

If you feel led to be part of this ministry of prayer, we are always looking for faithful, persistent, and caring Prayer Warriors. In some respects, this is an unseen ministry; there are no meetings, no Sunday morning testimonies, no schedules, and no potluck dishes to prepare. This ministry is done at your convenience and fits in beautifully with your time of daily devotion and prayer.
