First Missions is participating with New International in their Miles for Missions initiative to cover 25,000 miles – the number of miles around the earth – and raise $100,000 for global missions in a single day.  We have been a longtime supporter of New International, their missionaries, and the work they do, which includes:

• Relief for children and families in extreme poverty in Africa
• Investment in food and water security in Zimbabwe
• Helping at-risk youth start viable businesses in Myanmar
• Providing a loving home for disabled orphans in Ukraine
• Bible translation in Brazil
• Church planting in Mexico
• Rescuing girls from sex-trafficking in Asia
• Ensuring missionaries have the tools and resources they need to thrive on the field
• And so much more…

We are coming alongside Pastor Paul Emeritus Fahnestock and his wife Linda, missionaries with New International who are serving Jesus through Brazilian Sign Language Bible Translation. Funds raised through our Miles for Missions efforts will support this ministry.  Learn more about their ministry.

The Mission Leadership Team has set a goal to collectively commit to at least 500 miles on May 22! Miles can be completed by walking, jogging, cycling, boating, and even flying! If you feel led, you can make a donation when you sign up to participate, although you do not have to make a donation to commit to miles; you may also make a donation without committing to miles.
