Africa  | Outstretched Hands

Through the ministry of Outstretched Hands, Habtom and Heather are sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ by building relationships and addressing the needs of communities and individuals in southwestern Ethiopia. Outstretched Hands focuses on evangelism through meeting the needs of widows, children, and the community. The widows and children in this area have been displaced because of violence and are in desperate need. This ministry builds small homes, provides food supplements, and offers sustainable income by generating projects to help widows take care of their families. Because tribes in this region have yet to hold the Word of God in their native language, Habtom and Heather are currently taking the Jesus Film, which has been translated into multiple languages, and the Talking Bible, which is the spoken Word of God, to remote villages. Evangelism opportunities include sharing the gospel directly with people in the community, praying for the sick, and having church services in a newly built church.
