Rachel recently joined a growing mission team stationed on an island located in the Indian Ocean (specific location withheld for security reasons). Using the business as missions (BAM) model, her team is in the process of starting a sustainable business. This gives the team access to visas which includes a humanitarian form for nursing and humanitarian aid. As a nurse, Rachel uses her skills to empower the locals through cooperative community health solutions, thus developing friendships, especially with women and children in the neighborhood.
