Africa

BethanyKids’ mission is to bring healing and hope to children with disabilities in Africa by offering surgical and rehabilitative care to families who have no other place to turn. Among those who volunteer their services, both short- and long-term, are missionary surgeons, local African surgeons, surgeon trainees, nurses, chaplains, social workers, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. They treat children with burns, cleft lips and palates, hydrocephalus, spina bifida, and other congenital and acquired disabilities. BethanyKids also operates many mobile medical clinics throughout rural Kenya, administering follow-up care and identifying children who could benefit from surgery. They share Christ wherever they go, and many people come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ.
