The 90+ Ministry is a newly developed Deacon ministry that focuses on the oldest members of our faith community. The ministry recognizes that the needs of this age group are often impacted by changes in their circumstances such as where they live, their living conditions, their health, and eventually second-person oversight  protection. Our deacons realize that maintaining personal contact may be difficult, so they have developed a unique process to ensure that our efforts to stay connected with them are successful.

Our goal is to show our concern for each member of the 90+ community and to ensure they are all recognized. As believers, we depend on each other and know we can best support each other through our Christian community. Living for Christ is a continual opportunity; we must never forget to encourage believers who have actively helped build and support this church.

As Psalm 71:7-9 (NRSV) states, “I have been like a portent to many, but you are my strong refuge. My mouth is filled with your praise, and with your glory all day long.
Do not cast me off in the time of old age; do not forsake me when my strength is spent.”

We are currently in need of additional volunteers to  help contact these beloved church members. The contact procedure requires asking a few pertinent questions and establishing a loving relationship with these members. The ministry team meets monthly during the winter season to plan, train, and analyze the 90+ mission.
